Oh snap I forgot in my last post another thing I tried when doing this: a wet palette! I don't know why it took until just a week or so ago for me to become one of the day's lucky 10,000 but I stumbled upon a forum post mentioning one in passing and a google later and I was like, "how have I never heard of this let's gooo" and made one in less than a minute. It kept my grey wet for an entire day (I just left it to see what would happen) and workably thinned for at least half of it. 10/10 tool, especially given we always have parchment paper on hand for pizza and other breads
