progress

it has been... *checks posts* 263 days since I posted about working on my Secret Project. Today I made some real progress! i am very pleased. i have been... very full lately, but in the last month or so have been working my way into having room to do projectwork and all those little steps built up to really fleshing out the how of one of the most complex parts of what I'm designing. One could say I've been quietly working towards this since january at least, despite not having done active work till now, and it feels really good to actually have the problem framed, solved, and partially built in CAD.

This part may have to compromise on my so far successful "no glue" design philosophy, but I maaaay be able to flip the issue (extremely small pieces mean very little room for tabs/slots) to my advantage (extremely small parts allow for greater flex in the pieces[1], opening up some clip options). This is all pretty far thinking given my current rate of progress, tho

tangible progress 😌
