I looked at my headphones today and said, "wow gross" so I fixed that; I am, once again, extremely pleased with how good the ear cups work on these. I can pull them off and pull the foam out of them and give the fabric and the foam a good hearty soak in soapy water and the fabric a gentle scrub and the foam a squooshysquosh
I am even less enchanted with the little head band, which I previously had sewed a little welt into to make it shorter cuz it stretched out. Today it started splitting and I see more clearly why it stretched out: it is a foam bit with GamerGreebles sandwiched between two bits of sproingy fabric. This is just asking to stretch out (and the foam to tear which: it has). I'm buying a cheap knockoff replacement for expediency's sake but I am Considering 3D printing and sewing a replacement cuz wow could I do better??
Frustration aside, cleaning mice and headphones and keyboards and game controllers is really nice and good!! I highly recommend doing it every few months. You just need a bowl of soapy water and a rag you have dipped in the bowl and rung out super well. Sometimes you can just use a lil rubbing alcohol or those little one time use alcohol napkin things, but be wary around printed bits with those as oftentimes alcohol is a solvent for inks. Once you're done you get to admire your shiny clean thing and go :) i did that
and it feels nice the next time you use it!!
